This summer could not come soon enough :)

In early July... this is happening.
I will be moving back to California. It's certainly bittersweet, but it needs to happen.

Sometime mid July.
My boyfriend and I have made it our mission and goal to take a trip to Hawaii this summer, just the two of us. It is going to be simply amazing.

On August 9th, this is happening.
I will be turning twenty-two! Partying the night away is an absolute must.

September 16th...
My favorite band, Rascal Flatts, will be playing in concert and I have missed them every year so far. I will be there this year - hanging out with some of my favorite people, drinking, and enjoying the night. I cannot wait!

This will be occurring multiple times throughout the Summer
Giants games!

Last but certainly not least.
I will be going on a road trip with my best friend to the place that I hold dearly to my heart. Beautiful San Luis Obispo.

quote of the day.

I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles." - Audrey Hepburn

Tag - What I am Using.

Hair

Shampoo: Loreal Ever Strong Reconstructing Shampoo.

Conditioner: Loreal Ever Strong Reconstructing Conditioner. I've been highlighting my hair for about 4 years now... and my hair is unfortunately paying the price. I just recently dyed it back to my natural color - brunette! This shampoo and conditioner is an inexpensive way to regain that healthy hair! Also, added bonus... it smells amazing (rosemary mint) and it's sulfate free. Thumbs up for that.

Styling Products: I'm currently looking for a new heat protectent for when i straighten my hair, so if anyone has anything suggestions... feel free to leave a comment below! :) When i feel like going for a more natural messy beachy sort of feel, I add in a little Pantene Pro-V Curly Hair Style Mousse, and it seems to do the trick. Holds curl well, not crunchy feel.

Hair Mask: I'm tempted to try Christophe Beverly Hills Restorative Hair Mask. My room mate tried it out and she loved it!

Body

Shower Gel: Softsoap Nutri-Serums body wash (The pink kind) Don't let the great price of this product let you assume that it's total crap. It's actually an amazing basic body wash. It's got an amazing fresh and clean scent and it is restoring Vitamin E and Moisture Retaining with Omegas 3 & 6 back into your skin.

Body Moisturizer: Olay Quench.

Deodorant: Secret Clinical Strength. I'm not a super sweaty person at all, but I LOVE this deodorant. I've tried going to other kinds (this stuff is a little pricey, compared to the 4 dollar deodorants) but I always end up going back to this one. It's awesome! Not only does it smell good and last all day but I don't sweat even a little bit when wearing this.

Fake tan: I haven't used any sort of fake tan products for a while. Dove's Energy Glow was my go-to when I did though. Pretty sure it's discontinued :(

Face

Face Moisturizer: Olay Active Hydrating (Amazing!)

Cleanser: St. Ives Apricot Scrub. Works like a charm.

Eye makeup remover: I'm horrible... I use dove soap. I really need to change that!

Exfoliator: None.

Makeup

Primer: None.

Foundation: Revlons Photo Ready Foundation.

Concealer: Almay Clear Complexion

Powder: Physicians Formula - Mineral Wear.

Blusher: Need a new one!

Bronzer: Rimmel London - Natural Bronzer

Highlighter: I'm still on the hunt for the perfect highlighter.

Eyeshadow Base: Urban Decay Primer Potion

Eyeshadows: I've been using way too many different kinds! Usually all neutrals though.

Eyeliner: Revlon Color Stay (Liquid) and Rimmel Eye Pencil for tight/water line.

Eyelash Curler: Revlon.

Eyelash Base: I've never tried one.

Mascara: Maybelline's Lash Stiletto

Lipstick: If I'm wearing lipstick that day, it's most likely Revlon's Nude Attitude.

Lipgloss: Not a huge lip gloss fan. Call me crazy.

Nail Color: O.P.I "You don't know Jaques"

In addition to that: I'm so mad at myself, Coach had this amazing wristlet... and it is now out of stock and not being sold. I should have made my move while I had the chance :( For anyone who already has this, I am severely jealous of you.

On a lighter note.... Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

any reviews?

Peace, Love, & Juicy Couture Perfume

Juicy Couture knows exactly how to target their viewer. I'm obsessed with this advertisement! The bottle of the perfume is absolutely stunning as well. Anyways, onto the point. Does anyone have this perfume or know anything about it? I'm considering the possibility of purchasing it... but I haven't made my way to sephora to smell it yet. Any takers? :) Any reviews on the product would be greatly appreciated! Just leave a comment below. Thank you ladies!

Can you say, adorable?

i'm back!

Wow, I cannot believe how much time I let slip by. I haven't been blogging or checking back on fellow bloggers in quite a while, my sincere apologies! I have been extremely busy between moving to a new state, starting up school again, and scoring myself a new job! With that said, I definitely plan on getting back into blogging and putting my tips, tricks, and advice out there to the world. So get ready for that! :)

As the fall season is upon us, it is time to shift gears! Not only is school back in session, but the leaves on the trees are beginning to change colors, the weather is cooling down a bit, and starbucks is back to offering those delicious pumpkin spice lattes that everyone loves so much! So put away those bikinis and tanning lotions... and whip out your colorful scarves, those tall boots that go with everything, and all the amazing fashion pieces that you get to play up this season!

One thing that I absolutely LOVE about this time of year is the fall colors that go beautifully with your outfits. One thing I am crazy about this season is neutrals. There is nothing better than a oversized boyfriend tee in a neutral shade, pair it with some skinny jeans, a scarf, and some boots. A-dor-able!

In addition to this outfit, it's getting a little cooler outside or your planning on going out at night... one of my obsessions right now is leather! I don't know if your following this trend or not but I am completely in love with it. A semi-fitted black or brown leather jacket is a must have for this season. It adds a little bit of edge to your outfit without being too overpowering. From runway, to celebrities, to on the street... it's a hot fashion trend!

help wanted!

Okay, so I know that the point of this blog has been to try and help other gorgeous girls out there by giving my personal opinions on certain products that I've tried and little tips and tricks about fashion that I've learned along the way. I'm going to flip this around and ask YOU for some help. I'm turning 21 really soon, all the while my friend and i are throwing a big combined birthday thing to celebrate. I am asking for some advice on what you think I should wear, what styles of hair you would recommend, and last but certainly not least, makeup ideas! I'm going for something a little more bold than what I usually go for. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :) Thanks ladies.

the right bathing suit for you!

Okay so I'm not sure how many girls will get anything from this post, but it is aimed more towards the ladies out there with a bigger bust. If that's you, than I am here to share some tips and tricks to finding the right kind of bathing suit for you! I don't know about you, but I am not a fan of any of that double boob syndrome thing while out at the beach or by the pool. I like having support and coverage without going the not-so-flattering route. I'm not a fan of one piece bathing suits, I'm much more of a bikini kind of girl. Sad to say though, string bikini's are out of the question these days. I used to be able to go to any store, grab one, and go... but it doesn't work like that anymore unfortunately. I started looking more into Victoria's Secret swim line and I fell in LOVE. Some of the suits can be relatively pricey, but if you look at the right time they have some amazing deals that go down. The other great thing about it is the fact that each top and bottom are sold separately, so you can pick the exact size that will fit your body. For example, a large top and small bottoms. One of the absolute greatest things I've noticed is that some of the bikini tops are sized by your actual bra size, so there's quite a guarantee that it will be the right fit. I usually find myself browsing the online site, and bookmarking multiple swim suits to go back to later. They have the option of looking at swim suits specially designed for women with size D-DD as well, which is always helpful! Many of which are usually lined and have an underwire (like a bra) to offer more support to the girls. I could go on and on about how great the site is and all the things they have to offer when it comes to finding the right bikini, but I'll let you go check it out if you're interested. I have a couple suits that I've ordered off their site and I can promise you that I wasn't disappointed. The only advice I have is to look at multiple suits, pay attention to the model's bust size who is wearing the suit that you're interested in, check out the size chart if you're unsure, and feel free to mix and match different patterns and colors! Other than that, Enjoy :)

Here's a couple that I am talking about... I'm mainly referring to the tops of the bathing suits, ignore the bottoms.

I hope at least someone got a little something out of this, I apologize that it wasn't as general as I'd like it to be. I have many girlfriends that struggle with the issue of not feeling comfortable and sexy in a bikini soley because of the size of their chest, so I wanted to address it in some sort of way. I'll do another post for women with smaller busts, in order helping them find the right bathing suit for them as well! :)

summer date ideas

So this is my absolute favorite time of the year. It's a combination of the warm weather, beautiful sunshine, lazy mornings, crazy nights that go til 5 in the morning, and the fact that you can walk outside the door in nothing but some denim shorts, tank top, and some good ol' flip flops. There's a different kind of energy going around this time of the year as well... everyone seems to be a little less stressed out and willing to have a lot more fun! :) I'm sure many of you ladies out there have no problem finding things to do, but I thought I'd throw out some ideas for summer date nights! For some reason, the idea of movie and dinner seems a little hoe hum. Take advantage of those gorgeous nights and have some fun!

Note- Whether you're in a relationship or flyin' solo, everyone can take part in these suggestions! Grab some girl friends (or even guy friends if you'd like) and let loose a little. Life is too short to be tense and stressed out all the time.

Idea #1: Hot Tub Hopping
It may not always work out, and there is usually a good chance of getting caught... but that's half the fun! Whether it's you and some friends or just you and your date, find a hotel near you with a pool (preferably one that has an easier entrance to access from the outside) and jump right in. I did this a few times and it was completely worth it. Just beware, sometimes the late night security crew don't have much of a sense of humor... they may not find it as funny as you do. If worse comes to worse and you DO get kicked out, go onto the next! Find the next hotel pool to crash.

Idea #2: Random Road Trip
Find your state somewhere on a map and find a random spot to visit for the day (and/or night... up to you) Sometimes it helps if you pick out a few choices, write them down, and then choose one from a hat. Don't start making plans, start stressing out if your car is going to make it, where you'll stay the night, how long it's going to take to get there, and if there's anything happening that night. Just get in the car and go. The fact that you don't know what is going to happen is by far the BEST part. You might surprise yourself with the unexpected :)

Idea #3: Dancing
I feel like no one ever does this anymore. I'm not talking about going to a club and start grinding on the dance floor in a room with the smell of cigarettes and sweat. I'm talking about classic dancing. It could be anywhere from a romantic slow dance under the stars in your backyard to an old jukebox to learning how to salsa dance at a local spot. If you're shy about it, that's perfectly fine. Try and opt for a more low key environment.

Idea #4: Restaurant Hopping
Pick 3-4 restaurants to go to for the evening. At the first one, only order a small appetizer dish. Nothing too filling, but something that is a little more interesting that mozzarella sticks. Then, go to the next restaurant. Order an actual dish. Again, nothing too filling but enough for you to be relatively full. As for the next restaurant... my favorite part, dessert :) The next one is optional, but ending the night in a cozy cafe somewhere sipping on a small cup of coffee and reminiscing on how the night went sounds pretty perfect to me.

Idea #5: Go to a Concert
Even though this one is clearly done throughout the entire year, try and find one that is outside. That way you can bring a blanket and lay down. There's something about summer concerts that separate themselves from all the others. When I was 17, I took full advantage of this one. It's a lot of fun!

Idea #6: Picnic in the Park
It may sound very... I don't know, traditional. I've found that picnics can actually be very romantic though. That is if you're going for that sort of thing... ;) Clear a day with nothing to do and find yourself a good spot with lots of grass, some trees, and maybe even somewhere relatively quiet and private. I don't know about you but my idea of a romantic picnic does not involve the smell of dog poo, random frisbee's being tossed to the back of my head, and the sounds of constant screaming. It could be at a beach if you'd like, just prepare for the chance of sand in your sandwhich.

Idea #7: Movie Marathon
Movie night is very common, and quite frankly... a little played out! There IS a way to make it a little more interesting though. Instead of just one movie... pick three, or five. Clearly you need to have a lot of free time on your hands in order for this one to work out.. and you should be willing to be relaxed and laying down the majority of that time. If you're looking for something cozy to do on a Sunday night, this is a great option. Just take the time to connect (or reconnect) with that other person. Pick out some of your favorite classics and press play. Blankets and popcorn are an absolute must!

Idea #8: Backyard Movie Night
This one is very much like the one above, only slightly different. It's for those who still love watching movies with their loved one but are a little over the whole... popular movie night thing. This one adds a little touch of spontaneity. Grab a big blanket, a bunch of pillows, some snacks, and your lap top. Set this up in your backyard so you can see the stars. It's cozy and private, just be careful with any sprinklers.

Idea #9: Go Camping
There is nothing better than being out in the wilderness all bundled up by the campfire or snuggling in sleeping bags with the one you care about. You can make it a weekend getaway or just for one night at a local campsite, it doesn't matter. Just remember to bring bug spray, lots of blankets, and toilet paper ladies!

Idea #10: Be a Kid Again
Go miniature golfing, hit some balls at the batting cage, go for a bike ride, race go-carts, or try winning one of those stuffed animals. All that matters is that you're having a good time doing it.
